IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR VISIT
- Tickets are available online only at www.koninklijkeverzamelingen.nl/en/tickets.
- Tickets are not individually personalised and are transferrable.
- It is compulsory to provide proof of identity. All visitors aged 14 and above will be required to show their ID.
- Your ID is registered when entering the Noordeinde Palace and/or Royal Stables and kept until 6 August 2025 with due observance of GDPR legislation.
- You have a fixed starting time, which you have chosen yourself. You will not be allowed entry outside your chosen timeslot. You can find the starting time on your e-ticket, in the lower right corner above the barcode. Please be present before your starting time, but no sooner than 15 minutes in advance.
- If you have a combination ticket, your visit will always start at Noordeinde Palace. After that, you can visit the Stables on the same day, with no set starting time. (Final admission to the Royal Stables is at 16:30).
- Bags/rucksacks or other objects larger than 30x30x15cm are not permitted, with the exception of medical aids.
- Prams are permitted. A front carrier is preferable to a pram due to the layout of Noordeinde Palace.
- Entry controls may include obligatory bag checks.
GENERAL
When will the Palace and the Royal Stables be open to the public?
- Noordeinde Palace and the Royal Stables are open to the public from 16 July up to and including 3 August 2025, with the exception of Monday 21 July, Tuesday 22 July, Monday 28 July and Tuesday 29July 2025.
What are the visiting hours?
- Noordeinde Palace is open from 09:30 to 17:00, the final time slot that can be booked is 15:45.
- The Royal Stables are open from 12:00 to 17:00 (16:30 final admission).
- Visitors with a combination ticket start their visit to Noordeinde Palace and visit the Royal Stables thereafter. With a combination ticket you cannot start your visit at the Royal Stables.
How much do entrance tickets cost?
- You can purchase a combination ticket for € 15, enabling you to view both Noordeinde Palace and the Royal Stables.
- It is also possible to visit them separately. In that case, the entrance ticket for Noordeinde Palace costs € 10, for the Royal Stables € 7.50.
- Although entrance for visitors up to the age of 18 is free of charge, they still need to book an entrance ticket via de website: www.koninklijkeverzamelingen.nl/en/tickets
IDENTIFICATION
Do I always have to bring a passport or different form of valid ID?
- Carrying a valid ID at all times is a legal obligation in the Netherlands (passport, driving license, identity card). Visitors must have their identity verified and personal data recorded to enter the secure locations of the Noordeinde Palace and Royal Stables.
Why do I have to identify myself?
- Noordeinde Palace and the Royal Stables are secure locations, which means that additional access measures apply here in order to safeguard the safety of visitors, employees, objects and the building.
Why does the Royal Household use ID verification kiosks?
- These kiosks mean that you do not have to provide privacy-sensitive data to a third party when purchasing the ticket.
Does the kiosk create a copy of my ID?
- The pillar only checks whether the ID is valid and authentic. Visitors need a valid ID to access the location. The kiosks only store certain necessary personal data. Privacy-sensitive data such as the passport photo and Citizen Service Number are not stored.
How do the pillars work?
- Visitors must first present their ID to an employee, who will visually check your ID and passport photo. The ID will then be scanned by the ID verification kiosk for verification purposes. You may enter the location once both checks have been completed successfully.
TICKET SALES
Where can I buy tickets?
- You can purchase your tickets at www.koninklijkeverzamelingen.nl/en/tickets
- It is not possible to purchase tickets at the door.
When do the online ticket sales start?
- Online ticket sales start at 10:00 on 20 May 2025.
How do I order tickets?
- To order tickets, visit the website www.koninklijkeverzamelingen.nl/en/tickets
- Select the type and number of tickets of your choice. You can opt for a combination ticket, enabling you to visit both Noordeinde Palace and the Royal Stables. It is also possible to buy separate tickets for both locations.
- You can order up to six tickets per booking.
- Entrance is free of charge for under -18s, but an entrance ticket need to be booked in advance.
- Select your chosen timeslot. Visitors with a combination ticket start their visit at Noordeinde Palace and visit the Royal Stables after that. It is not possible for visitors with a combination ticket to start their visit at the Royal Stables.
- After payment by iDEAL or credit card, you will receive confirmation by email and your tickets.
- Once sold, tickets cannot be exchanged or changed for an alternative date or time via the link provided in the confirmation email and only if availability allows
- No refunds will be given.
Can I also buy (additional) tickets at the door?
- Tickets can only be purchased online via the website www.koninklijkeverzamelingen.nl/en/tickets
Is it possible to use the Dutch national Museumkaart?
- The Museumkaart does not provide entry to Noordeinde Palace or the Royal Stables.
Is the Vrienden Loterij VIP-kaart valid?
- The Vrienden Loterij VIP-kaart does not provide entry to Noordeinde Palace or the Royal Stables.
Are any other discounts available?
- There are no discounts or promotions. However, you can save money by purchasing combination tickets.
Are group visits possible?
- There are no arrangements for group visits.
- You can order up to six tickets per booking.
I made a booking but have not received my tickets.
- After payment by iDEAL or credit card, you will receive confirmation by email, including the tickets attached. If you did not receive the email, please check if they were sent to your SPAM mailbox.
- In the case of any other problems, please contact bezoekersinformatie@dkh.nl.
I would like to change my tickets. Is this possible?
- It is not possible to change the date or time on tickets that have already been purchased.
I would like to cancel my tickets. Is this possible?
- Tickets that have already been purchased cannot be refunded.
How many tickets are available?
- This year, there are over 43000 tickets available.
There are no more tickets available. What should I do?
- Unfortunately, this means that this year’s tickets have sold out.
Which organisation can I contact if I have questions about tickets or obtaining them?

Before your visit
What is the address?
- The entrance to the Palace is at Noordeinde 68 in The Hague.
- The entrance to the Royal Stables is at Hogewal 17 in The Hague.
What do I need to bring with me to gain entry?
- All visitors, including visitors below the age of 18, are obliged to show a valid ticket. All visitors aged 14 and over must bring a valid ID (original document, no photo). You will only be allowed entry if the documents can be shown.
- A photocopy of your proof of identity will not the accepted.
All visitors from the age of 14 must show proof of identity, but what counts as valid proof of identity?
- The following documents will be accepted as valid proof of identity: passport, ID card, Dutch residence permit or driving licence.
Does it matter if I arrive late or early for my timeslot?
- Because of the expected numbers, it is advisable to arrive 15 minutes before your timeslot. You will then join the queue to gain entry.
- If you arrive early, you may be asked to wait briefly until your timeslot starts.
- If you arrive no more than 15 minutes later than your timeslot, it may be possible to join the next timeslot. If you arrive later than that, the visit may no longer be possible.
Is photography or filming permitted?
- Photography (without flash) is allowed. It is not permitted to use a tripod or selfie stick. Film or video recording is not permitted.
Can I bring my bag, umbrella or pram/pushchair with me?
- Bags/rucksacks or other objects larger than 30x30x15cm are not permitted, with the exception of medical aids. Liquids, food, umbrellas, prams/pushchairs and back carriers for babies are not permitted either.
- Entry controls may include compulsory bag checks.
I have mobility issues – can I bring my mobility aids?
- It is permitted to bring with you the mobility aids that you need for your visit.
If you cannot visit without your carer/attendant, they will not be charged for entry. First book a ticket for yourself at www.koninklijkeverzamelingen.nl/en/tickets . In order to obtain a free entrance ticket for a carer/attendant, you should then send an email to bezoekersinformatie@dkh.nl. Please include the date and timeslot of your visit. You will then receive the entrance ticket by email.
I am unable to navigate my way through the museum independently – can I bring an attendant/sign language interpreter/ assistance dog?
- Assistance dogs are welcome, it is not permitted to bring other pets or animals.
- If you cannot visit without your attendant/ sign language interpreter, they will not be charged for entry. First book a ticket for yourself at www.koninklijkeverzamelingen.nl/en/tickets. In order to obtain a free entrance ticket for an attendant/ sign language interpreter, you should then send an email to bezoekersinformatie@dkh.nl. Please include the date and timeslot of your visit. You will then receive the entrance ticket by email
Is there a lift/elevator?
- At Noordeinde Palace, a lift is available for visitors with reduced mobility or who are using a wheelchair. Your visit to the Royal Stables is all on the same level.
Are there wheelchairs available?
- There is a very limited number of wheelchairs available. It is not possible to book them in advance.

DURING YOUR VISIT
What is there to see?
- In Noordeinde Palace, you can see the Corps de Logis, which is the main building and includes the Great Ballroom and the Balcony Room. In the Royal Stables, the Golden Coach, the Glass Coach and the Royal Motor Coach can be seen.
How long does a visit take on average?
- On average, you can expect a visit to both locations to take about an hour.
Are there guided tours?
- There are no guided tours. Visitors to Noordeinde Palace can take a multimedia tour with a word of welcome from His Majesty King Willem-Alexander. You may follow the route at your leisure. We also have a multimedia tour specially for children (in Dutch). There are information panels and video clips in the Royal Stables as well as a scavenger hunt for children.
Is it compulsory to visit using a multimedia tour?
- No, this is not compulsory. However, this is the only available way of learning about the building’s history and use. The multimedia tour also features members of the Royal Household talking about their work in the Palace.
Is there any additional charge for the multimedia tour?
- The multimedia tour is included in the entrance price and made available free of charge.
In which languages can I take the multimedia tour?
- In Dutch and English. The children’s multimedia tour is available in Dutch.
Do I have to bring my own headset?
- The multimedia tour is provided with a headset included. The multimedia tour has a 3.5 mm jack connection that you can use for your own headphones if you prefer.
Is there a children’s programme or tour?
- At Noordeinde Palaca there is a multimedia tour for children (in Dutch) and a scavenger hunt for children in the Royal Stables.

- It takes around seven minutes to walk to the Royal Stables from Noordeinde Palace (500 m).
