Paleis Noordeinde and the Royal Stables are accessible to as many visitors as possible. Below you will find practical information about accessibility, facilities, and visitor comfort.

Assistance Dogs and Personal Assistance

  • Assistance dogs are welcome in Noordeinde Palace and the Royal Stables. Dogs must be kept on a leash and wear a harness.
  • If you are unable to move through the Palace independently, you may bring a companion free of charge. First reserve a ticket for yourself. Then request an admission ticket for your companion via bezoekersinformatie@dkh.nl, stating the date and time slot of your visit. The complimentary ticket will be sent by email.

Wheelchair Facilities

  • Noordeinde Palace has a wheelchair-accessible entrance and is equipped with a lift.
  • A limited number of wheelchairs are available. Wheelchairs cannot be reserved in advance.
  • Accessible toilets are available in Noordeinde Palace and at the Royal Stables Department.
  • Any thresholds in the Palace are fitted with ramps. The Royal Stables are fully step-free.
  • Noordeinde Palace and the Royal Stables are also accessible for small mobility scooters.

Rest Areas

Rest areas are available in Noordeinde Place and Royal Stables, for example in the Grand Ballroom, the Rear Vestibule, and the Gallery Room.

Audio Tour

  • A free audio tour is available at Noordeinde Palace, providing information about the history, art, and use of the various rooms.
  • The audio tour is available in Dutch and English.
  • The audio tour device includes written tour texts in Dutch and English. The font size can be adjusted as desired.
  • The audio volume can be adjusted. The audio tour cannot be connected to a hearing aid.
  • The audio tour device includes a 3.5 mm headphone jack for visitors who prefer to use their own headphones. Wireless connection is not available.

Sensory Information

  • There are no bright flashing lights, loud noises, or background music in the Palace.
  • Some rooms are more dimly lit than others.

Getting There

  • The entrance to Noordeinde Palace is located at Noordeinde 68 in The Hague.
  • The entrance to the Royal Stables is located at Hogewal 17 in The Hague.

The distance between Noordeinde Palace and the Royal Stables is approximately 500 metres. Both locations are accessible for visitors using wheelchairs or mobility scooters.

Public Transport

The Palace is easily accessible by public transport. From The Hague Central Station, you can take a tram to the Kneuterdijk stop (250 metres from Paleis Noordeinde) or the Buitenhof stop (350 metres from the Palace).

Parking

Several parking spaces on Noordeinde are available for holders of a valid disabled parking permit. These spaces are located near Noordeinde 138.

The nearest parking garages are:

  • Q-Park Noordeinde (Heulstraat 23)
  • ParkBee Haagse Hof (Parkstraat 83)

These garages do not have designated accessible parking spaces.
